Brinette B. Rounds is the Founder and Managing Member of the Oak Street
Law Group, Bellevue, WA. Her estate planning legal practice began at
Perkins Coie, LLP and Stoel Rives, LLP. Brinette founded the Oak Street
Law Group to provide her clients with unsurpassed client service and
practical planning.
Mrs. Rounds is known for her ability to make sophisticated legal issues
and tax planning understandable and is highly regarded for her devotion
and commitment to the diverse needs of family-owned and other
closely-held businesses and their owners, high net worth individuals,
and business clients, including corporations, partnerships and
tax-exempt entities.
Brinette received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Seattle
University School of Law and her M.B.A. from the Albers School of
Business and Economics at Seattle University. She serves on the Board
of Directors for the Eastside Domestic Violence Program, and is a
member of the Seattle University Planned Giving Committee, the
Children’s Legacy Council of the Children’s Hospital Foundation, the
YWCA Planned Giving Committee, and the East King County Estate Planning
Council.
Elizabeth A. Stephan is an Associate Attorney at the Oak Street Law
Group. Prior to joining Oak Street, Elizabeth was an attorney at Stoel
Rives, LLP where her practice included trust and estate administration,
representation of fiduciaries and business planning for closely-held
companies, formation of partnerships and corporations, as well as
business sales, acquisitions and succession planning. Elizabeth has
been named a 'Rising Star' (Best Attorneys in Washington under 40) by
Washington Law & Politics.
Elizabeth earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School
and served as Editor-in-Chief, Michigan Telecommunications and
Technology Law Review. She served as a member of the executive
committee for the Real Property, Probate & Trust section of the
Washington State Bar Association, probate council member June
2009-present and Web Editor and Assistant Web Editor (September
2005-June 2009).
Jennifer Nelson is Oak Street's resident Paralegal. She assists clients
in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration,
business formation and administration, and real estate transfers. Prior
to joining the Oak Street Law Group, Jennifer was an assistant at Stoel
Rives, LLP, where her knowledge of business entity formation and
administration, real estate transfers and her preparation of firm
audit/opinion letters, maintenance of corporate and business records,
and preparation of annual meeting minutes and other corporate documents
proved invaluable.
